About Dr. Nerem
Dr. Nick Nerem was born in Boone, Iowa and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry while attending Waldorf College and then the University of Iowa. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, located in Davenport, Iowa.
Dr. Nerem decided to become a chiropractor after sustaining a severe lower back injury in 8th grade football. While suffering for weeks, with no results through traditional medicine and physical therapy, his father brought him to a chiropractor. After a few weeks of treatment his back pain was relieved and he was back on the field.
After graduating from Palmer he moved to Grimes and opened Nerem Family Chiropractic in December of 2006. Soon after, he met his wife, Heather, and they have been happily married since 2008.
He enjoys the outdoors, golfing, exercise, and spending time with his wife and children, Mya and Mason.

About Dr. Olson
Dr. Olson grew up in a small agricultural town in northcentral Iowa named Fenton. He enjoyed playing football (both 8-man and 11-man), basketball, and track. During the summers he worked for a local farmer as a farmhand, worked for Pioneer detasseling and de-rogueing, and mowing countless lawns.
Dr. Olson grew up going to the chiropractor. He always loved it and knew he wanted to be a chiropractor in 8th grade due to a variety of reasons. He always felt that he was able to return to sport more quickly than his peers after minor sports injuries due to chiropractic care.
After high school, Dr. Olson attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship. During his time at UNI, he met his now wife, Kara, at church. The two tied the knot in 2019 while Dr. Olson was attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
Just prior to his graduation from Palmer, Dr. Olson and his wife moved to Altoona while his wife started working downtown. In 2021 they bought their home in Grimes and have grown their family since. Dr. Olson is a proud 'Girl Dad" to two amazing little daughters.
During his free time, Dr. Olson likes to spend time with his family, spend time outdoors including hunting and fishing, lifting weights, running, and studying online about his many other hobbies. Dr. Olson is very passionate about helping others. He is zealous for learning and will make anybody that comes into the clinic feel like they are in the right place.
