Dry needling uses needles at sites of pain, injury, or other dysfunction to accelerate healing by stimulating a local twitch response in the tight muscle, improving blood flow and healing by causing microtrauma which encourages increased blood circulation and allowing the body’s healing cells to repair tissues. It also reduces nerve sensitivity and releases endorphins which are the bodies natural painkillers.
